Here's is my latest progress shot for the Summer of Socks. Still working on my Mini Monkeys. I'm to the foot of the second sock now, the end is in sight! I have a quick baby hat to try and crank out, but after that I'll finish these quickly.
I still really like the yarn. I'm being forced to deal with fraternal twins, though. I've always been a matchy stripes kind of sock gal, but the color runs in this yarn are such that it was impossible. Near the cuff of the first sock was a light green/olive green combination of plies, and I fully admit to re-winding BOTH the remaining yarn from the first ball and the entire second ball looking for that particular combination again. No luck. So I did my best to get at least one of the plies matching, so they'll "coordinate" if not match completely. I like the yarn enough that I'll be satisfied with that!
Pattern: Monkey socks, with modifications a la Cara and fiberjinx
Yarn: Jojoland Melody in color Y-17
Needles: US1 Addi Turbos, magic loop

Wow, those are beautiful! I love the way the shading of the yarn works with the pattern.

Those look great! They may be the nicest looking Monkeys socks I've seen.
I tried to make matching socks with Melody and got fairly close. I don't think the yarn is well suited to matchy-matchy. It is a three ply, all of which seem to have the same colorway. I think they just start plying those three strands together, letting the combinations happen where they will. Still, it is a cool yarn and I would use it again.
