...disguised as a sleeve.

I hope it will soon look something like this...

...sized for a six-month-old soon-to-be-born son of Purdue parents to wear this winter.

I'm really winging it here, in that I have no pattern and have never done a raglan sweater before, save for the 6" of top-down raglan I've started for M. Let's not talk about that, eh? I don't at all remember what size a 6-month-old is, nor how long their arms are. This sleeve and its mate are about 6" long right now, and I'll join them with the body in my first attempt to follow Elizabeth Zimmerman's seamless raglan "pattern." I just got my first EZ books (from the Knitpicks book sale), so I'm excited to see how it works out.

Wish me luck!
Body knitting commences tonight.

That looks great! Can you find any 6 month raglan patterns on line to get an idea of sleeve length?

It looks good so far! I can even tell it's a sleeve. Good luck with the design work/good luck winging it when you get sick of designing!

Can't wait to see how it all shapes up!
