The Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas, CA has a chocolate festival every year, and somehow as long as I've lived here, this is the first year that I've gone! It's a really beautiful place, and with chocolate...I need not say more.
There were succulents for the kids to plant and take home...
there were huge leaves to hide behind...
there were butterflies...

and of course there was chocolate!
Yes, those are indeed marshmallows, dipped in the chocolate fountain. Sugar bomb! I chose strawberries. There were also wonderful truffles, peanut butter cups, cupcakes, chocolate-dipped everything, and all manner of chocolate candies made by local chocolatiers. Pure heaven, I tell you! I'll definitely be back in the years to come.
