She really liked it, though. Here's to hoping that the increase in size won't make the yarn do something bizarre--I really liked the way it striped and didn't pool in the smaller size. I don't mind pooling and spiraling, but it was a nice surprise to have the first one come out looking more random than I'm used to.

uh-oh. How much too small? Could you do the toes in solid black or tan or black and tan stripes?

This is a voice from the past (January!) - in thanks for your PANTA pattern - which I have knit, gifted, and am delighted to see the recipient wearing!!! what better high is there!
