Kid socks #2 for J are done! Now the boys can match. :)

Yarn: Lana Grossa Meilenweit Magico, color 2526 "Browns"
Pattern: Toe-up to 52 stitches, 2x2 rib on top of foot and around leg, short-row heel, stretchy sewn cuff. About a half a large stripe smaller than the pair for C.
Needles: US1 for all except US0 for about 1" of the 2x2 ribbing at the cuff.
And just for grins (and in case my parents read this), here are some shots from last Saturday's Encinitas Little League opening day:

J on the firetruck that was there for the kids to see. He really wanted to get inside and "drive," but they didn't have it open.

And C playing catcher. It was their first game, so the coach moved them around each inning, trying different positions. C was really excited to get to try playing catcher, they didn't have a catcher position with the padding and shinguards in his T-ball league last year.

They really do match - even to the stripe sequence! It's clear that you are a scientist . . .
