Okay, I realize that this was not one of the WIPs in the previous post. It's raining again, so I finished up a quick Calorimetry out of yet another skein of SWS. I like it. I previously thought it was too small, but it ended up stretching enough to fit. I wore it this morning walking C to school, and I have to say it was very handy! I could still throw my hair up in a ponytail and my ears were warm.
It's a lot like the pantas that I made for Christmas gifts, but knit in the other direction (you cast on lengthwise), and the width comes from short rows. I can't seem to find my notes on what exactly I did (I actually knit this a while ago and just put the button on last night), but I pretty much followed what others on the Knittyboard did on theirs, because as written the pattern tends to come out big.

Pattern: Calorimetry from Knitty, by Kathryn Schoendorf
Yarn: Patons SWS, in Natural Navy, less than one skein
Modifications: I cast on less (maybe 108? That number sticks in my head). I left the first three short rows unwrapped so that I could use them as buttonholes, but wrapped the rest so that there wouldn't be holes up on the top.

Looks great. It'll look especially good with that scarf.

I love your Calorimetry! SWS is on my must try yarn list, maybe I'll give it a whirl.
