FO: Watermelon set

Now that I *think* I've got this figured out, let's post some actual knitting content! Having been blogless all this time, I'll post some of my projects from the last year or so, just to have them here to link to from time to time.

In chronological order of finishing, first up is Daisy, from Knitty. I knit this for my new niece's baby shower, to match the Yarn Harlot's watermelon hat. I also did some watermelon-y socks to match. Daisy was done plain, with no hood, and with the crocheted edge from Reid added in place of some of the moss stitch, so that I could pull the colors together a bit more.

Pattern: Daisy, from Knitty (edge from Reid)
Yarns: Light pink: Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece #225 Coral Sunset; dark pink: Cascade Pima Silk #5140 Rose
Modifications: Added a crocheted edge to help it match the hat better.

Modeled sweater, hat, and socks. Note that it's all still too big, I was targeting it for when she's a bit older. She's 5 months old in the photo:

Hat Pattern: Watermelon Hat, from the Yarn Harlot's recipe (scroll down)
Yarn: Light and dark pinks same as above; white: Dalegarn Svale #0010; light green: ggh Scarlett #29 Lime; dark green: oops, lost the ball band!
Beads: Czech firepolished glass beads in black, 4mm, sewn on with silk beading thread

Sock Pattern: Infant Socks, by Judy Ellis
Yarn: Claudia Handpainted Yarn, in Red Wagon

Whew! I'm going to save this (just in case), and attempt to post it! Wish me luck...
