FO: Zinnia Jaywalkers

I had the day off today, so I sat down and finished my Jaywalkers while catching up on last week's Knitty Grittys on my Tivo. Here they are!

Pattern: Jaywalker Socks, by Grumperina, found at Magknits. These are the larger size.
Yarn: Knitpicks Sock Garden, color Zinnia
Amount: Each sock weighs 38g, so I have quite a bit left over. They're about 8" from heel to the top of the cuff when worn.
Needles: US1 DPNs
Modifications: I did an Eye of Partridge heel, the second one listed here with the ** suggestion

I really liked this pattern a lot. I had tried to use this yarn twice before on different patterns, and it didn't work out at all. The bright yellow is prominent, so the pooling I was getting on both of those patterns was distracting and unattractive. I figured that the zigzagging of the Jaywalker pattern would use a significantly different amount of yarn than either of those two, so it was my next (and final!) attempt. Success!

I love that color! Isn't it amazing how different self-striping or variegated yarns can look with different patterns? Nice. :)

Your jaywalkers look great. You are one talented knitter.
